Spirit Town – a place where people who have magic abilities live safely and happily alongside those who don’t. Journalist Beth Harriott ran away from her powers, a long time ago. She decided to return to town when her parents passed away, to look after their businesses and the family home. She’s known for being independent, she certainly knows her own mind. In book one Autumn Leaves Are Falling she’s determined to solve the mystery, to figure out who is trying to ruin their towns annual festival. She had to learn to trust – herself and others and work out how to kick start her magic. In book two Secrets Ghosts and Whispers timeslips and portals blur the boundaries between past and present, allowing Beth glimpses of the town’s hidden history. Ghostly whispers and shadowy figures guide her toward a truth – one that may be too much to handle, urging her to embrace the magic she ran away from.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where do you get ideas for your stories?

Real life brings with it overwhelm, anxiety, good, bad and horrible experiences. We can either let it get to us, or we can make the most of the situation. Always express gratitude and set positive intentions. The ideas for my main characters just pop into my head. There’s a little bit of me in each one.

What are you writing next?

I always have several manuscripts in varying stages. At the moment I have a couple of novellas nearly finished, and book 2 in my Misty Vale series.

Is it easy to write stories?

The writing process for me is easy, it’s the editing, social media, marketing, and balancing all the steps that make it tricky. My suggestion, if you want to write, but you’re not sure where to start – is to start writing words on the page.
